FLOWER ARRANGING CONTEST

All are welcome to pick flowers and participate in the weekly flower arranging contest at Ferjulian’s Farm. The goal of the contest is to encourage creativity in different types of arranging and to be inspired by the showcasing of our collective results.

To participate, come to the flower cutting garden at Ferjulian’s and pick a jar or basket of flowers (all flowers MUST BE from our cutting garden for your arrangement to be eligible for the contest). When you have finished your arrangement, email a photo to ferjulianfarm@gmail.com by Sunday at 6pm. The top 10 arrangements of the week will be posted to facebook on Sunday evening for voting. The arrangement with the most likes by Monday at 12pm will be dubbed winner and the arranger will receive a $25 gift certificate to Ferjulian’s.

Week 1 (July 7 – July 13)
Rustic Mason Jar – A country style arrangement in the mason jar provided.

Week 2 (July 14 – July 20)
Classic Bouquet – A round, tightly-packed arrangement.

Week 3 (July 21 – July 27)
Bold & Bright Summer Flower Display that captures the joy and liveliness of the season.

Week 4 (July 28 – August 3)
Mismatched Vases – Group together coordinating but not matching containers.  

Week 5 (August 4 – August 10)
Cascading Arrangement with a waterfall effect.

Week 6 (August 11 – August 17)
Unusual Items – Use boots, watering cans, birdcages, or any other unusual object to house your arrangement.

Week 7 (August 18 – August 24)
Sunset Serenade – Capture the beauty of the evening sky transitioning from bright golds to deep oranges and soft pinks in arrangement form.

Week 8 (August 25 – August 31)
Vertical Flower Arrangement – Create a dramatic impact by arranging flowers vertically, either on a wall or in a tall container.

Week 9 (September 1 – September 7)
Monochromatic Blooms – Create a cohesive look by using only one color or a few shades of a single color.

Week 10 (September 8 – September 14)
In a Pumpkin – Use a pumpkin or gourd as the vessel for your arrangement.
